This is a fabulous show done one how the brain processes music and many of the aspects of our emotional response, activation of the brain, bonding with other people, release of \"happy\" chemicals to our body etc. There is part 1 - 6, take a look!
I have finally named my new series and am presently journalling my journey through the inspiration of the series and where I hope for it to go. A friend is helping me put a book of plates and the story together to go with the work. Many have been excited about the series and I am now collaborating with my daughter on an offshoot series she has been working on, and we are doing one or two pieces together. The spinoff series she is doing is called "Next Generation"
The dream of making this artwork was born from Esther\'s experiences as she recognized that everyone has a story to tell and that the experiences and values of our past inform who we are Today. Each culture has a unique beauty that enhances our national identity. Each person can experience a sense of belonging and find an equal place in a global family.
The thought dawned on me that artistic and creative expression can look many different ways, and likely we are all creative, since we were created in the image of our Creator. Therefore we must each have the desire and capacity to be creative.
Great Event opening last Saturday at The Conference Place at Whitby Mental Health! Great facility, great connection to bring art into a healing atmosphere. The speaker David Aurandt that opened the event is a wonderful speaker and advocate of the Arts, I have heard
It seems to me that there is an underlying solitary nature that is integral, and part of the heart of an artist. There is a separateness, perhaps that of observation, but also the ability to appreciate and almost become part of your surroundings,

Brooklin Art In The Park 2009
